“And for the first time on the screen, Robin Johnson…”…

The Italian movie poster features the American logo and the British painting of Nicky, but although it has some of the yellow-orange tint of the Belgian poster, it retains the artist’s signature by her knee and the attention to detail absent from the Belgian version. It’s definitely a reproduction of the painting, rather than the repainting featured on the Belgian poster.

I assume that the big space at the top is for the exhibiting theater to print its name and address and/or the showtimes.

[caption id="attachment_1574" align="alignleft" width="300"]    [/caption]This was the very first item of Times Square memorabilia I ever got (although, like the double-sided poster, not this specific copy of it). I saw the film twice at the Quakerbridge Mall, which had two record stores in it (later there were three, if…

Bravo, No. 21, Germany, May 19, 1982

May 1982, and Times Square was about to have its final premiere, in West Germany. Why did it take this long, over a year and a half after its initial premiere, and a year after the rest of Europe had seen it? I have no idea. But someone still had…

More stills from the UK series

I nearly passed over this lot of five black and white stills, except it had one photo I'd never seen. Rather than try to haggle for just the one photo, I bought the lot, and I'm glad I did, because they're all from the UK series, three of them…
