I had a pair of really horrible experiences with The Script Shack, so I'm not sorry it's gone. However, I've had numerous good experiences with ScriptFly, which has it listed for $20 (you can either get a pdf emailed to you or pay a couple bucks extra for shipping of a physical copy). They seem to have a lot of the same inventory that the Shack had, so I'd assume it's the same draft, though a date isn't cited.

The original song choices were certainly questionable, but a script is just an outline and things change. I've seen most of Moyle's other movies and his 1960s anti-establishment values seem to permeate every production. Judging from what I've seen of the script, what he said in the commentary, and what you've mentioned countless times, casting Robin was a total game-changer which jutted his vision off into another direction. I'm forever holding out hope that someday, somewhere, somehow, his cut of the movie is gonna surface (stranger things have happened) - and it's gonna be a much better film than the one we know and love.

As for copyright infringement that you've seemed concerned over in numerous posts, I certainly wouldn't sweat it, even if you did decide to post the complete script. Look at the overwhelming amount of *technical* piracy for Star Trek, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc., etc., ad nauseum. The people who hold the rights are never gonna go to that kinda trouble to provide photos and information - because they generally don't give a shit (and there seems to be precious little concern over Times Square, which has been on You Tube for a year - and out of print WAY more often than it's been in-print). It's fans who keep movies alive, and through your fastidious research, you've been doing a real service for your fellow fans of this frustratingly-obscure little film, Sean.

Years and years ago, when everyone who's now on Facebook was on Yahoo! Groups, there was a website called The Script Shack that sold photocopies of screenplays, one of which was <em>Times Square</em>. I don't know how many copies they sold, but they did sell some, and then went out of business. If there's anyone selling copies now, I'm unaware of it.

And although back then I would have thought nothing, or very little anyway, about sending a copy free or for postage to anyone who asked, if only to undercut The Script Shack's profiteering off someone else's intellectual property... for a number of reasons now (not least of which is being Robin's official representative on the Web), I am not comfortable engaging in an outright copyright violation like that. I'm pretty sure the amount of stuff I'm already sharing to try to get people talking is within the bounds of Fair Use, but I may already be pushing it. The entire screenplay all at once is definitely over the line. Otherwise I'd have already done it :)

However... it's definitely out there and gettable. If you keep looking eventually you'll find it. Unfortunately, the first question anybody's asked on this blog (thank you, by the way! Hi!) is one of the few I personally can't answer. For (ugh) legal reasons :p
